VIDEO/PHOTOS: A popular restaurant in Wyoming County has been destroyed in a fire Friday afternoon. Gin's Tavern located on Route 107 in Factoryville caught fire just after 2 PM. Multiple fire departments from Wyoming, Lackawanna, and Susquehanna Counties responded to the three-alarm structure fire call. The employees heard a loud sound in the back of the building which prompted the 911 call. FOX56 spoke to one person who was in the building at the time and was grateful to the staff who helped guide everyone outside. Flames could be seen tearing through the roof as tankers used Lackawanna Trail Elementary Center as a fill site. Route 107 is closed at Routes 6 and 11 as fire crews are still on-scene working to extinguish the fire. Fire chief Brian Gow said one firefighter was transported for smoke inhalation.
