Seven people are displaced after a house fire in Harrisburg Tuesday morning. Firefighters were called to the 900 block of N. 18th Street at 4:59 a.m., according to emergency dispatchers. Fire officials told CBS 21 that two adults and seven kids were able to get out of the home safely and that they are being helped by the American Red Cross. The fire began in a second-floor bedroom after one of the children, 7, played with a lighter, officials said. In the child's bedroom, the lighter lit a mattress on fire, lighting the home ablaze within 30 minutes. The blaze was upgraded to first alarm at 5:02 a.m. after firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the second floor. The second half of the duplex also suffered a deal of water and smoke damage.
