A local family has been displaced following a house fire at 25 Boston Street in Coventry that broke out early Sunday morning. The Archambaults have lost many of their material belongings as a result, but say they are grateful for their family’s safety above all else.
According to Coventry Police Chief Colonel John MacDonald, a patrol officer in the area, Brandon Sullivan, was notified by a neighbor driving by of a fire on the rear porch of the two-family home. Sullivan notified the fire department before heading into the home to evacuate the residents on both floors. The neighbor continued to honk their car horn in an attempt to wake the sleeping residents of the building.
Autumn and Brandon Archambault and their young son were living on the second floor. The family and a roommate were all asleep when the fire started, awakened by the almost one-year-old’s cries during the night.
