No injuries were reported in a three-alarm fire early Sunday morning about 1:58 a.m. at 22 Callender Ave. Deputy Chief Drew Elder said on Sunday afternoon that no tenants were in the building at the time of the fire. He believes at least three people live in the building but he was not certain. One of the tenants was in Boston at the time of the fire, he said. Rescue personnel were told a couple live on the second floor of the building but they were not there at the time of the fire. “No idea if they live there full-time,” Elder said. The fire started on the first floor of the three-story building; the building has two full floors and an attic, Elder said. Firefighters could not access the second floor because the flames had compromised the staircase; they used ground ladders to enter the second floor through windows to make sure no one was there. Though the building was believed to be unoccupied at the time of the fire, “we still make an effort to perform a search just in case,” Elder said. “We found nothing.”
