A Lynnfield, Massachusetts man was arrested in Middletown after police say he bought a Diet Coke at a 7-Eleven while completely nude. John Walsh, 60, was charged with disorderly conduct by Middletown police last Wednesday, according to the Daily Item.
Middletown police pulled over Walsh and his girlfriend after a store clerk reported the incident. According to police, Walsh's girlfriend told officers that she dared him to walk into the store naked after he said it was legal to do so in Rhode Island.
Rhode Island law defines indecent exposure as exposing one's genitals "for the purpose of sexual arousal, gratification or stimulation...under circumstances in which his or her conduct is likely to cause affront, distress, or alarm to that person."
Walsh is a captain for the Lynnfield Fire Department and has been a part of the department since 1979. He has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
