VIDEO: A Cumberland man is accused of driving drunk and causing a serious crash in Lincoln while his young daughter was in the vehicle with him. Richard Barche, 31, was issued a summons at Rhode Island Hospital for DUI, refusal to submit to a breathalyzer test, and failure to maintain control of his vehicle, according to Lincoln police. Police say Barche rear-ended a minivan on Lonsdale Avenue Sunday night, which caused his pickup truck to veer into a nearby home. Both the truck and the home sustained significant damage. Barche was unconscious when first responders arrived, according to police, and he was treated with Narcan at the scene. His 4-year-old daughter was being tended to by witnesses following the crash, police said.
