Police and court officials are seeking to have an arson suspect in a 2017 Bradford fire rearrested after she failed to appear in court following a co-defendant's conviction earlier this year. Records show that the suspect, Kaitlyn Evans, 25, listed as a former resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, has been wanted on a warrant for several months after failing to appear for a pretrial conference in late February. Westerly police indicated last week that she had lived locally until recently, but it was unclear where she had gone.
Evans and a boyfriend,Clem T. Ramsey, formerly of Charlestown, were indicted by a Rhode Island grand jury on May 11, 2018, after an investigation into a fire that gutted a two-family home at 150 Church St. on July 13, 2017.
