Members of the Hope Valley-Wyoming Fire Department on Sunday doused a blaze that totaled a car parked in front of a home on Hopkinton Hill Road.
Firefighters, with aid from Hope Valley Ambulance, were called to the home for reports of a car on fire, as well as concerns that the blaze may be jumping to nearby adjacent vehicles. Deputy Chief David Caswell was the first to arrive, the agency said in a social media post, and reported the car was fully engulfed but that there was no issues regarding exposure. Two engines and a tanker truck responded and were quickly able to contain the blaze. The car involved is considered totaled, officials indicated, but no injuries were reported and no other property was damaged.
