A man who police said took off from the scene of a fiery crash in Cranston Thursday evening was arraigned on several charges Friday morning.
Richard Gobern was ordered held on $25,000 bail with surety following his arraignment at Kent County District Court on charges of duty to stop in accident resulting in serious bodily injury; reckless driving and other offenses against public safey; and driving after denial, revocation, or suspension for certain violations.
He was ordered to appear in Superior Court Friday afternoon as a bail violator.
According to the Cranston Police Department, Gobern was driving a red Jeep with three female passengers inside when he crashed into another vehicle near Laurel Hill Avenue.
The Jeep then burst into flames.
