A Glocester man was arrested on arson charges Friday, according to authorities. The Glocester Police Department said they arrested Steven Foster, 44, after investigating the cause of a suspicious fire at 31 Wilmarth Road that happened on May 4. Captain Matthew Fague said officers responded to that fire just before 10 p.m., adding it destroyed an unattached garage with its contents. Fague said Foster was also charged for his involvement in an earlier fire that was reported on the same property almost two years ago, destroying another garage with everything inside. Foster was charged with two counts of second-degree arson. He was arraigned at the police station and released after the arraignment.
