Four people were injured after a box truck and car collided head-on in Hopkinton Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred at the intersection of Route 3 and Wellstown Road around 3 p.m. Ashaway Fire Chief Ronnie Sposato tells Eyewitness News the car crossed the center lines and hit the box truck head-on. Sposato said the three people inside the box truck saw the car drift into their lane, but the driver was unable to get out of the way in time. The driver of the car’s legs became pinned inside the vehicle, according to Sposato. He said the driver was removed from the vehicle by fire personnel and transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The three people inside the box truck were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
