A fire broke out on Sorrento and Althea Street early Wednesday morning around 1 a.m. Firefighters say that the fire quickly jumped from a 1st alarm fire to a 4th alarm fire, as they worked to extinguish it. All occupants of the building made it out safely, and no injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. Sorrento and Althea streets were blocked off as crews worked to put out the fire in the early morning hours, these street should be back open at this time. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. At this time the house has been deemed inhabitable and is most likely a total loss.
