Crews responded to a nursing home in Pawtucket Tuesday night after the generator stopped working. Pawtucket city officials said the fire department and the city's Emergency Management Agency were notified that the generator at the Jeanne Jugan Residence Home was not functioning. National Grid prioritized the area of Sayles Avenue and attempted to restore power as quickly as possible, according to a city spokesperson. As of 11 p.m. Tuesday, a National Grid spokesperson said there was no estimated time of restoration. An NBC 10 News crew observed multiple National Grid workers arriving in the area. The city's EMA reached out to the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency and National Guard for a mobile generator. Pawtucket fire officials said 10 residents were taken to the hospital and/or other facilities.
