The Warwick Fire Department was called back to a Royal Avenue home early Thursday morning after initially battling a fire there on Wednesday night. According to the department, the fire initially broke out around 10:30 PM, where flames were found coming from the rear of the home. Once firefighters were able to get inside, they located a woman sleeping through most of the fire. Firefighters were able to wake her up and get her out of the house unharmed. The department said she was the only occupant in the home, and she left with her daughter. Fire crews had to return to the address around 2:30 AM after a reported flare-up, where it was put out. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the state fire marshal and Warwick police.
