Bristol fire crews responded to several lightning strikes in town Tuesday night, including one that left a condo complex without power for a couple of hours. Battalion Chief James Vieira said fire crews received several calls of lightning strikes in town starting around 6p.m. He did not have an exact amount at this time. One of the buildings that had a lightning strike was a condo at the Courtyard at Metacom off Metacom Avenue. Fire Marshal James Given said they found fire damage in the attic in one of the units that was consistent with a lightning strike. Given said that the entire complex was without power for roughly two hours and that three of the units at the complex could be without power for a couple days as electrical crews determine the extent of damage to wiring at those buildings.
