Heavy fire breaks out at Cranston home, killing two household pets

VIDEO: Two pets were killed when a fire broke out Monday morning in a home in Cranston. A person in the house escaped unharmed. The fire broke out at about 11 a.m. at 140 Madison Ave. Officials said the fire burned through the attic and took about 90 minutes to get under control. Two pets were killed, and an injured cat was transported to a local vet. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
