Firefighters were called to an early-morning apartment fire in Belton.
The first call came in around 3:05 a.m. at the Glenwood Gardens apartments on Calhoun Road, according to Belton Fire Chief Brad Maness. When firefighters arrived on scene, they saw large flames in the middle apartment in the building, Maness said.
Firefighters said it appears the fire started on the bottom floor of the middle unit, possibly in the kitchen.
Firefighters are still investigating an official cause.
Four people have been displaced. The Red Cross is helping them.
No one was hurt.
