VIDEOS: Crews responded to a fire in the Cherry Grove area of North Myrtle Beach just after 8 a.m. Wednesday. The Division Chief Full was the first Chief Officer to arrive along with the first fire apparatus and established Duffy Street Command. A large column of smoke was reported by Engine 2 pulling out from their station. Units arrived on the scene of 28th Avenue North and Duffy Street to find one home heavily engulfed in flames that were rapidly spreading to two neighboring homes with energized utility lines down also. A city spokesperson told WMBF News that three people were hurt in the blaze. Information on the extent of injuries for the people involved was not immediately available. Due to the magnitude of the incident, additional units were requested to the scene.
