Metro Nashville Police and the Nashville Fire Department are on scene of a fatal crash involving a pedestrian. Police say the crash took place at Broadway and 13th Avenue South. Police add the crash involves a dump truck. Exit 209 on I-40 WB has been closed due to the crash as they investigate. The victim is a white male in his mid-50s, but has not yet been identified. Witnesses said the pedestrian has been "seen in the area" on a "regular basis." Police say the male was struck as he was crossing the street, but not in a crosswalk. Police said the dump truck was driven by a 71-year-old from Madison, had a green light and had just started rolling through the intersection from a stop, so speed won't be a factor in this crash.
