Two people were rescued from a fire at the abandoned Frosty Morn plant Thursday night, and one of them punched a firefighter trying to assist him. At about 6:43 p.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue was dispatched to a fire with two people trapped at 625 Frosty Morn Drive, according to a news release from Capt. Michael Rios. Fire crews from Station 1, Station 8 and Station 4 arrived with heavy smoke coming from the building. Chief Jim Cain noticed an man waving his arms through the rebar on a window. A K-12 saw was used to cut the rebar to gain access to the building. Firefighters equipped with rescue equipment and hose lines entered the building and quickly found one victim. He was removed from the building and was being evaluated by firefighters when he became aggressive, yelling, “I didn’t set the fire, I called 911.” He punched Engineer Steve Delle and then was subdued, Rios said.
