A local man met face to face Sunday afternoon with the firemen who saved his life.
Back in February, Jerry Morton went into cardiac arrest. His wife Amy started chest compressions. Then Rural Metro firefighters pulled up and took over.
As Amy stands by her husband's side, she's thankful she can. She's filled with appreciation and awe, she says, for the firefighters who saved his life.
"I don't think he'd be here without their quick response. We almost lost him, and if it weren't for them, he wouldn't have had a chance. I've still got my husband and she's still got her daddy," Amy said.
Amy showed her gratitude in a handwritten thank you card, but this is the first time the Morton family is able to reconnect with the firemen in person.
