VIDEO: The city of Knoxville Codes Enforcement department is asking for an emergency repair or demolish order after it appears new material is being brought into the North Knoxville recycling plant that was the site of a major fire earlier this month. Neighbors called to allege the owner of Fort Loudon Waste and Recycling was bringing in new material to the site, which would be a violation of the fire marshal's orders. Codes Enforcement officers investigated and saw dumpsters being unloaded from trucks and new material on the ground on top of what looked like burned debris. The city says there is no building within which to conduct business, which is a violation of city code, as well as no restroom facilities, and more. City officials say the matter will likely be taken up at the next public officer meeting later this month.
