There was a house fire reported around 6:30 Monday morning Noah Reid Road in Chattanooga. Crews said that while they were putting the flames out, the cold temperatures cause water to freeze on the road. The road was forced to temporarily close Noah Reid road while crews gathered water hoses and treat slippery areas. One person was home at the time of the fire, but he got out of the burning house safely and he was outside when firefighters arrived. Heavy smoke and flames damaged the home. The Red Cross will assist the couple who lived in the house. No injuries have been reported at this time. The cause is under investigation.
