Officials say a brush fire on the side of Signal Mountain was a challenge for fire crews on Wednesday. It happened in the 500 block of North Palisades Drive. Hamilton County EMS spokesperson Amy Maxwell says firefighters used safety ropes to hold them in place as they battled the blaze. The fire was eventually extinguished and no homes were endangered. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No one was hurt.
