Six people, two dogs rescued from apartment fire in Chattanooga

Chattanooga fire officials say six people were hurt at an apartment fire off Highway 58 on Tuesday afternoon. The fire happened at Rustic Village North Apartments on Sunflower Lane around 2:30 p.m. CFD officials say five people were rescued from the complex. CFD officials say Chattanooga police rescued two victims and Chattanooga firefighters rescued three more, along with an injured man who was found in front of the building. Officials say a total of six people were injured and were taken to a hospital. Their names and conditions are unknown. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
