A firefighter with Clarksville Fire Rescue tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. The firefighter last worked March 25, and had no symptoms, according to a CFR release. The firefighter is doing well and is self-isolating at home under a doctor's care “This is our city workforce’s first confirmed case, and we are praying for our firefighter’s speedy recovery,” Mayor Joe Pitts said in the release. “We are taking every precaution and following the recommended protocols to ensure the best possible outcome for our first responders and all our city employees.” CFR has consulted with Montgomery County Health Department and is following all CDC and state Department of Health guidelines. Other crew members present during the March 25 shift have been advised to quarantine for 14 days from the last date of contact and monitor for symptoms, the release said.
