The city of Brentwood welcomed and swore in two new police officers and recognized the promotions of three firefighters at Monday’s city commission meeting. The two new police officers sworn in are Joshua McGhee and Ayla Patton. McGhee is a veteran from San Diego who joined the BPD on Jan. 4. Patton is a Nashville native who joined the BPD in August 2020. Both are currently completing the field training program. Deputy Fire Chief Brian Collins, Battalion Chief Derek Hyde and Lieutenant Jacob Lampley were also recognized for their recent promotions within the fire department. Fire Chief Brain Goss congratulated all three. “It’s one of the greatest honors to see people advance in our organization, especially to have the caliber of personnel we do here in Brentwood,” he said.
