Two people were injured after a fire at a Wilson County propane supplier Wednesday morning. Wilson County emergency officials said the fire sparked underneath a propane tank at Advanced Propane on Highway 109 near Academy Road at around 9:44 a.m. It was so intense, with flames as high as 20 feet. The fire left two contract workers severely burned. “It wasn’t good for anybody living close,” said Capt. Steve Fox with the Wilson County Fire Department. One worker was taken via LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the other was taken to a hospital via ambulance. Although severely burned, both workers were able to help each other get to safety and out of harm’s way. The victims’ conditions were not immediately known; the fire has since been extinguished.
