The Waco Fire Department and Waco Professional Firefighters Association Local 478 kicked off their annual 'Fill the Boot' campaign Thursday. For three days, Waco firefighters will post-up at major intersections across the city and go car-to-car to accept donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). "Every dollar pitched into the firefighters’ boots will help provide medical treatment and support to Waco-area individuals living with neuromuscular diseases and MDA summer camp," according to a Facebook page about the partnership. The campaign runs April 18-20.
