Two people are without a home after firefighters extinguished a house fire in Southeast Travis County on Sunday night. At approximately 8:30p.m., the Austin Fire Department responded to the scene at 3010 Royster Avenue, near the Austin airport. At 9:17p.m., AFD announced the flames had been extinguished and crews were continuing to work at the scene. Officials say they do not yet know what caused the fire but that it appeared to have started in the back of the house and resulted in heavy fire damage throughout. The residents of the home reportedly did not have working phones and were unable to call 911. AFD says this could have caused a significant delay in their emergency response time. No one was injured and the amount of damages has yet to be determined.
