A Weber County corrections lieutenant was applauded by fire officials Tuesday for quickly stepping into action, and potentially saving a family from a serious house fire. According to a press release made by the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday Weber County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Lt. Joshua Marigoni was driving in the area of 2800 S. 4700 W. in unincorporated Weber County when he noticed smoke coming from a home’s attic vents. Marigoni investigated the smoke and found that the home was on fire and the occupants of the residence were not aware, the press release stated.
