There have been 100 wildfires reported in Utah since July 1, sparking fire agencies to have people sign a pledge to prevent more fires.
Utah Fire Info stated on its Facebook page Tuesday that there have been 100 wildfires reported in the state so far this June, bringing the total wildfire count to 256 for the 2019 season. Utah Fire Info added that over 90% of all wildfires in July were human-caused as well.
According to Utah Fire Info, there's only one active wildfire in Utah: the Skull Flat Fire.
To prevent additional wildfires in Utah, Utah Fire Info and fire agencies are asking residents to take the SPARK CHANGE Wildfire Prevention Pledge, which asks people to take action in wildfire prevention.
