A wildfire being fought near Highway 89 in Kanab has already burned close to 3,000 acres, according to state fire officials.
The Pine Hollow Fire had burned 100 acres as of 8:23 p.m. Wednesday, and is now estimated at 2,771 acres.
It started in Arizona, about 25 miles east of Kanab and about 1 mile south of the Utah-Arizona state line.
State fire officials say it was caused by lightning. People at the Stateline Campground were ordered to evacuate on Wednesday. Members of the public are asked to stay off of House Rock Valley Road to keep access open for firefighters.
