Fire crews are working fast to contain a newly-sparked grass fire near Interstate 80 on Thursday afternoon. Firefighters were able to contain the 255-acre Pacific Fire as of 4:47 p.m. The interstate will reopen, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. The fire itself is located near milepost 55, just south of the interstate and past the Great Salt Lake. It has been named the Pacific Fire. Structures are threatened, according to state fire authorities.
