VIDEO: First responders are still reporting to work every day, and they run the risk of responding to a call where someone could have coronavirus. Steps are being taken to ensure first responders aren't catching or spreading the virus. “No one gets inside of the building without being screened first," said Patrick Costin, public information officer for the Unified Fire Authority. Even before your shift starts at UFA headquarters, you have to be cleared to clock in. They have a trailer set up and staffed all day to check people for signs of illness. “They take your temperature, write that down, and then give us a screening bracelet each morning," Costin said.
