VIDEO: With the help of others, a Davis County family said they have managed to rebuild, after a quick-moving wildfire destroyed their home and 40 years of memories. The Fisher’s home was destroyed in the 2019 Gun Range Fire, along with two other homes. Hundreds of families were evacuated. Just days after the wildfire, KSL TV found Daniel Fisher digging through a huge pile of rubble of what used to be his beautiful home on the Bountiful hillside. “My house was obliterated,” Fisher said. “With the incredible 40 mile per hour winds and the white smoke and the heat, we had about two minutes to get out. That’s it.” All they had was the clothes on their back. That was then and this is now, they said. “(I’m) looking at a brand new 2020 home,” said Fisher, standing in front of his new place. The brand new custom-built home sits within inches of their old one.
