PHOTOS: Firefighters in Weber County got an in-person thank you from a pair of dogs they rescued from a burning home last week.
Fire broke out at the home near the Remuda Golf Course on April 1. The homeowner was able to make it out safely while firefighters entered to save the dogs. The fire was put out within 10 minutes and "all homeowners, dogs, and first responders walked away with no injuries," according to Weber Fire District.
On Wednesday, the family and their dogs, Zola and Diggs, met up with firefighters from the Weber Fire District, North Ogden, and Roy to offer them treats and gratitude. "It was a great surprise visit, and everyone enjoyed seeing and petting the happy dogs," fire officials said.
