VIDEO: A brush fire caused evacuations in Price Thursday evening. Firefighters were dispatched to the area right before 4:30 for a fire that grew to be about 50 acres. It took 40 firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control, officials say wind and drought had major impacts on the spread of the fire. A medical care center as well as the Children's Justice Center were evacuated during the fire. The evacuations are no longer in place. No injuries were reported and only a plastic fence was damaged. Fire Chief Fitzgerald Petersen reported to FOX 13 that two males were ticketed for a campfire. Most of the firefighters who responded to the fire are volunteers with the Price City Fire Department. “They make the difference , we couldn’t run the fire department without them. We don’t have that type of budget," Petersen explained.
