Firefighters with the Lone Peak Fire District said Sunday that they fulfilled a task that people often associate with their jobs — rescuing a cat from a high place. They said the cat had wandered to a neighbor's balcony where the owners could not retrieve it. Officials added that the temperature was dropping and the cat had not eaten in some time. "We were happy to lend our assistance and make sure the cat got back home," they said. The firefighters said it was the first time in their careers that they had rescued a cat.
