A Henrico County family lost nearly everything they own in a house fire early Friday morning. The family told 8News that the fire was not an accident after their house, located on Brittles Lane off of Williamsburg Road, was shot up two days ago. Two shots were fired into their 11-year-old's bedroom window on Independence Day. The family says they don’t want to be identified because they're afraid for their lives and that someone they know is after them. Henrico fire trucks lined the road for hours Friday morning as crews worked to battle the flames for nearly two hours. The flames were so aggressive that firefighters had to cut open the roof and throw everything onto their front lawn.
