A Charlottesville business is helping to give firefighters a boost in the morning.
Snowing in Space installs cold brew coffee machines, called kegerators, in businesses across the city, but this one is particularly special. The company is providing coffee in-house to the men and women working to save lives.
Now Charlottesville’s firefighters at the Ridge Street Station have a brand new fuel to start their day.
“When I get out of bed, some caffeine is super necessary in order to function, so we're caffeinating these people who are going out and pulling strangers out of fires or, you know, responding to 911 calls,” said Snowing in Space General Manager Ashley Mauter. The company will also donate 10% of the profits made from each keg the department purchases to a charity of the department’s choice.
“I think that's awesome that we can give back in some way shape of form back to a charity,” said Captain Lance Blakey of the Charlottesville Fire Department.
