The Christiansburg Fire Department took home 14 trophies from last weekend's Southwest Virginia Firefighters Association Conference.
Many of the awards were for winning competitions against other departments.
Some of the challenges included being the fastest to put on a full uniform or to apply a nozzle to a hose.
The department also won the overall sportsmanship trophy in honor of late firefighter Roy Redd, who continued to serve even after .
"Fire service is what kept him going for 10 years, the thought of him helping others," said Assistant Fire Chief Danny Yopp. "Even with his sickness, in the last 10 years he probably answered close to 2,000 calls."
The team also took home a couple trophies from the cornhole competition.
