Update: Fire Chief Adam Snyder to be honored with a processional back to North Carolina

On Monday, March 11, 2019, Atlantic Beach North Carolina Fire Department Chief Adam Snyder passed away at UVA Hospital [sic] due to injuries suffered while skiing on Saturday at Wintergreen. Chief Snyder will return to North Carolina this afternoon, carried in an Atlantic Beach FD ambulance. Virginia State Police will be providing an escort for a memorial procession from UVA Hospital [sic] to the Virginia - North Carolina state border. On Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 1 p.m., a procession will depart UVA Hospital [sic] to return Chief Snyder to North Carolina. The Virginia State Police will be leading the procession. The media is invited to come to the Ridge Street firehouse at 12:30 p.m. today where the Charlottesville Fire Department will be displaying the American Flag over the route of the procession.
