Members of the Spring 2019 Citizens Fire and Rescue Academy graduated last week after spending eight weeks learning more about their Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
The class was treated to a firehouse dinner at Station 40, Fairfax Center, by members of C-Shift. Several class members also provided a variety of yummy deserts for everyone. County Executive Bryan Hill, Deputy County Executive Dave Rohrer and Fire Chief John Butler also stopped by to congratulate, and thank, everyone for their participation.
After dinner, Fire Chief Butler and Assistant Chief Jason Jenkins presented members of the Citizens Fire and Rescue Academy certificates of completion along with a challenge coin.
