VIDEO: One kind act led to another when Roanoke Fire-EMS replaced a man's slashed tires for free. It all started after a woman took safety in a stranger's car.
Robin Kegley was enjoying pizza with his friends Friday night. He had no idea what was about to take place.
"I was very scared, I haven't slept in two and a half days," Kegley said.
A woman rushed into his car at Melrose Towers to take cover as her boyfriend chased her with a knife. The boyfriend began stabbing at the car--into the roof and then at the passenger seat window, where Janine Vandenberg sat.
"We were in fear for our lives, it was literally God that kept us safe because that was a small car, the windows should've broke, but they didn't, and all of us were very scared we were going to die," Vandenberg said.
