David Swanson Brown, affectionately known as "Sambo", of Brandy Station, VA passed on peacefully to a better place on January 17, 2021 surrounded with love by his wife and children. He was a lifetime member of Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department. ln his 58 years he held offices of Chief and every line office except Captain as well as President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and a member of Board of Directors.
Viewing will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2021 at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, Virginia 22701. Graveside service with Pastor Kevin Walton officiating will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Wayne Corbin, Kenneth Handy, Bob Norris, Tony Troilo, Joe Bailey and Allen Green. The membership of Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
