The Danville Fire Department says no injuries were reported after a house fire on Franklin St. Fire officials say they got the call at around 4 Sunday afternoon. When crews arrived they found heavy smoke coming from a small-sized 1-story house. It took crews about 45 minutes to get the fire under control, crews say the home sustained moderate damage. Officials say the cause was from soldering copper piping in the crawl space to close to combustibles. Officials say the residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
