Multiple strike teams from the Puget Sound region are helping in California. Firefighters from Seattle to Lacey to Snoqualmie headed south over the weekend. Washington 5 Strike Team arrived safely in California Sunday night. They've been assigned to the deadly Woolsey fire just outside of Malibu. Meanwhile, the state Department of Natural Resources is sending more than 100 firefighters and about 20 fire engines. Officials say firefighters could be deployed for up to two weeks, which means they could be spending Thanksgiving on the front lines. The death toll from wildfires in Northern California has reached 31, the most deaths associated with one wildfire in state history. Another 228 remain unaccounted for as crews stepped up the search for bodies and missing people. Two people were killed in a wildfire in Southern California.
