VIDEO: A multi-car wreck that also sent a semi-truck off the freeway brought traffic to a crawl for southbound drivers on Interstate 5 in Everett Friday morning. Washington State Patrol says shortly after 6 a.m. they got a call about a semi that lost its load on the Pacific Avenue on-ramp to I-5 southbound. The semi was carrying lumber, and it spilled over the freeway and on-ramp. The incident began, according to WSP, with three cars that had been involved in a wreck while heading southbound. WSP is still determining how the semi became involved. WSP said the driver of the semi and a driver of one of the other cars involved in the wreck were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The Pacific Avenue on-ramp was closed for the morning commute. Traffic southbound was backed up as far as seven miles at one point.
