A Finley family is without a home after a fire broke out Sunday morning. Around 4:15, Benton County Fire District #1 responded to a double-wide home near Locust PR SE and Finley Road. When they arrived, it was engulfed in flames. The fire started in the garage and spread to the house. Fire officials say smoke detectors alerted everyone in the home. They all got out safely. "A very good reminder to check that your smoke detectors are less than 10 years old and to change your batteries every six months," said Benton County firefighter Tracy Baker. Four people are displaced, and the home is a total loss. Investigators are working to determine the cause.
